The Shawnee Indians
Published in Hardcover by Scarecrow Press (07 February, 2001)
Author: Randolph Noe
Average review score:

Comprehensive and Scholarly
Simply put, Mr. Noe's comprehensive presentation is an intellectually clear and concise treatment of the Shawnee. The breadth of his study of the subject is remarkable.

The Most Important Work of Shawnee Research Ever Published
I've been researching Shawnee history and genealogy for decades, and I can think of no single work more valuable in that endeavor than this descriptive bibliography. Every metropolitian, university, and genealogical library in the United States ought to have at least one copy.

The descriptions and quotations get at the heart of the work at hand and are so generous and interesting that you want to read it from cover to cover--and there are 2779 entries. An amazing work, destined to be a collecters' item at a much higher price--get one now while you still can.

A must for all students of the Middle East.
In a rather short book, the political and military aspects of the events surrounding the Middle East War of 1967 are well examined. Amazingly enough; enjoyable reading .

The Six-Day War by Randolph Spencer Churchill
The most engaging nonfiction I have spent time with in more years than I care to remember.

The Success Book

Author: John Randolph Price
Average review score:

Very thought provoking book!
This is a rather interesting little book! I first read it about two years ago and havn't seen it since...a few days ago...I started thinking about it again and couldn't find it. Then a couple of days later it showed up on the floor next to my computer under a chair and I have no idea how it got there, but I'm glad it did. This book helps you create a mindset for success - its simplicity is amazing and its quickness and ease of read (90 pages in a pocket book) definatly makes it worth taking look at. If anything, you surely will look at success in a more appropriate and approachable manner!

An uplifting, empowering little book!
This little book uses the Science of Mind principles to teach us how to make our dreams a reality! The wonderful, uplifting style is simple and fun to read. The small size makes it easy to take this little tome anywhere, and pull it out to get a little boost! I use it as an incentive for my team! This book makes you feel like ANYTHING is possible...because it is!

Teachers Discovering Computers, Integrating Technology in the Classroom 2nd Edition
Published in Paperback by Course Technology (10 December, 2001)
Authors: Gary B. Shelly, Thomas J. Cashman, Randolph E. Gunter, and Glenda A. Gunter
Average review score:

Great E-text
It's the text of the future, having both printed and Electronic information at the same time. Text web site adds to the learning experience and you can go back time and again for a refresher.

Incredible Resource
I work as an adjunct at the University of Central Florida teaching a required course for students who will be entering the teaching profession. The text I use is "Teachers Discovering Computers".

The book's focus is on Computer, Information and Integration literacy. Each area is thoroughly covered in content detail, enhanced by photos and diagrams and supported with a wealth of unline material from the Cashman site. Every chapter has a review section, sites to go to on the web for additional information, and tips for teachers on integrating what they have learned. I would suggest anyone in or about to enter education, purchase this text so they too might make the most of technology in the classroom.

User Friendly Prophecy: Guidelines for the Effective Use of Prophecy
Published in Paperback by Destiny Image (February, 1998)
Authors: Larry Randolph and John Randolph
Average review score:

User Friendly 101
This book is a must for anyone interested in the prophetic. I have heard Larry speak live and we have given out over 10 copies if this book. I have given it to a few Pastors who have also really enjoyed it and have then used it for a Curriculum m for teaching their church on the prophetic. Personally, I also found it very encouraging in my own life and development of the prophetic gifts. You will be very glad you got this book. It is easy reading and you will want to get more than one copy so you can pass it along and keep a copy for your self! Blessings and Refreshings

This book gives guidelines for effective use of prophecy!
User Friendly Prophecy is a straight-forward, no-nonsense manual on the use of prophecy in the Church today. For those Christians who have felt the stirring of this gift in their lives, this book serves as a compass on the map to discovering how to flow in the prophetic.

Larry Randolph breaks down this study on the prophetic into three main thrusts: Establishing the Scriptural Validity of Prophecy, Explaining the Purpose and Place of Prophecy in the Church, and Understanding Prophetic Failure and Success. This book reveals what both the Old and New Testaments have to say about prophets and prophecy and shows how this ancient gift has changed in light of the New Covenant. Both babes in Christ and seasoned believers will learn the fundamentals on how to prophesy, who can prophesy, and who a prophet is as defined by God's word.

Value Driven Management: How to Create and Maximize Value over Time for Organizational Success
Published in Hardcover by AMACOM (April, 2000)
Authors: Randolph A. Pohlman, Ellen M. Heffes, and Gareth S. Gardiner
Average review score:

The Rules of Engagement
The premise that Gardiner and Pohlman speak of in their collaborative effort Value Driven Management is that the most valuable resource in the new economy is neither technology or information, but rather human attention. Managers and professionals of all types should be thinking about how their own attention is best allocated and how to harness the attention of their colleagues, customers and business partners. The key markets in the future will be those in which attention is bought and sold. It's an attention economy and those who succeed in it will be those who know how to manage attention. Using what the co-authors call "value drivers", the reader is given a guided tour of what the future may hold for the world of business for those managers who define, prioritize and give a support system that promotes achievement. Clarity is one of several key words used throughout the book. With clarity comes success and many companies have had some success using pieces of this concept, but the authors stress the fact that any business that intends to stay in business will have to grasp this concept and make it a ongoing part of their organizational life. "Value Driven Management "implies that plans, decisions, actions and rewards are all governed by a value focus" which is illustrated throughout the book. Without short-term wins, too many employees give up or actively join the resistance. Innovation is not flash of genius; it is hard work; building strong customer relationships begins with smarter employees, clients and partners. Value Driven Management is a must read for managers, real world warriors, business students as well as extremely potent motivational force for anyone. In these turbulent times, an organization's ability to survive will depend upon on a number of factors illustrated throughout VDM. Any manager would be wise to heed its message.

De rigueur for today¿s managers
Whether managing a brick-and-mortar or click-and-mortar business, Pohlman's Value Driven Management is de rigueur for today's managers. The key to his theory is not repeating the past management gurus. In his book, he, too, has added value over time to the foundations on which yesterday's management strategies were founded. Pohlman's secret? Adding a component of long-term vision. His "Value over Time for Organizational Success" adds a new dimension to value driven management.

His successes in both academia and the business world are the test of his pedagogy. The proof is in the pudding, as they say.

This book is highly recommended for all levels of students of business: undergraduates, graduates, and real-world warriors.

Adoption: Philosophy and Experience
Published in Paperback by House of Tomorrow Productions (April, 1994)
Author: Randolph W. Severson
Average review score:

A beautiful and scholarly book about all aspects of adoption
This lovely book is a unique combination of psychology, poetry, scholarship, and the personal experiences of an adoption therapist working with all sides of the adoption triad--adoptees, birthparents, and adoptive parents. This is the first book to take the pscychology of the soul, as taught by James Hillman and popularized by Thomas Moore, into the realm of adoption. Dr.Severson writes with beauty, grace, and surprising wit, from a wide background of classical, contemporary, romantic, and Celtic literature and myth, song and story, as well as the usual psychological sources. He exposes the intellectual barreness of a purely sociological approach to adoption and adoption counseling, and favors instead seeing and healing the whole person wounded by the adoption system, body and soul. This series of essays details how that healing may begin, and what impedes it under the current sealed record system. I am a birthmother, and found Dr.Severson's views on birthmother grief to be accurate and compassionate, and his observations on the adoption reform movement, with which I have been involved for years, to be astute and true. His use of language is fluid, expert, and poetic in the best sense--like the natural poetry of the Celtic Bards with which he is well acquainted. His advice is down-to earth and useful, as well as profound. I would reccomend this book to all interested in or involved in adoption and adoption reform, and especially to adoption professionals, as a standard of excellence to which they might aspire.
